Sauter DA digital torque gauges are bench instruments for measuring the opening and closing torque of bottles, jars and other closures. Adjustable holders accommodate objects from 10–165 mm in diameter, making the range suitable for packaging development, production inspection and routine closure checks.

Models cover maximum torques of 1 Nm, 5 Nm and 10 Nm, with a stated combined error of ±0.5% of full scale and a usable measuring range from 5–100% of capacity. Peak mode retains the maximum opening or closing torque, while continuous mode displays changing torque during the test.

Choose the lowest-capacity model that safely covers the expected torque to obtain the most useful readability. Overall dimensions are model-dependent: verify the selected model’s footprint and height where the gauge will be installed in a restricted bench space.
