Our glycerine filled pressure gauges (also known as liquid-filled pressure gauges) are designed to deliver stable, easy-to-read pressure indication in applications where vibration, pulsation or shock can cause pointer flutter on dry gauges. Select your required dial diameter below to view available pressure ranges and connection options.

40mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauge

40mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges

Ultra-compact liquid-filled gauges for tight installations where vibration causes unstable readings on dry gauges.

50mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauge

50mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges

Compact, vibration-damped gauges ideal for pumps, compressors and machinery with pressure pulsation.

63mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauge

63mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges

Industry-standard size for stable readings in vibrating environments across hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

100mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauge

100mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges

Large, easy-read liquid-filled gauges for plant equipment and panels where vibration affects visibility.

160mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauge

160mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges

High-visibility gauges for plant rooms and process areas where stable, readable indication is critical.

Our glycerine filled pressure gauges are designed to provide stable, easy-to-read pressure measurement in applications subject to vibration, pulsation or pressure cycling. The liquid fill helps dampen pointer movement, improving readability and helping protect the gauge mechanism in demanding service.

Ideal for pumps, compressors, hydraulic power units and plant installations where dry gauges can suffer from pointer flutter, glycerine filled gauges are a practical choice for improving readability and extending service life in harsh operating conditions.

Why Choose a Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauge?

Glycerine filled pressure gauges provide:

  • More stable readings in vibrating environments
  • Improved readability where pressure fluctuates or pulses
  • Reduced wear on the movement compared with dry gauges in harsh service
  • Better suitability for mobile equipment and machinery

These gauges are ideal where stable indication and durability under vibration are key considerations.

Dial Sizes & Configurations Available

We supply glycerine filled pressure gauges in the following standard dial diameters:

Options across the range typically include:

  • Bottom entry (radial) and back entry (axial) configurations
  • Dual scale dials (bar/psi) on many models
  • BSP and NPT thread configurations

Pressure Ranges & Connections

Our glycerine filled gauges are available in a wide range of pressure scales including:

  • Vacuum ranges
  • Compound gauges
  • Standard industrial ranges (e.g. 0–6 bar, 0–10 bar, 0–16 bar, 0–25 bar, 0–40 bar and higher)
  • Higher pressure ranges on selected models

Connection options include common sizes such as 1/8", 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" BSP, plus NPT options on selected models. Adapters are available if you need to match existing pipework.

Suitable Media & Operating Conditions

Glycerine filled pressure gauges are typically best suited to media that is not highly viscous and for applications where process temperature is within normal operating limits. As a general guide, liquid-filled gauges are commonly specified for systems below approximately 60 °C, and for media compatible with standard brass/alloy wetted parts. If you require improved chemical compatibility, higher temperature performance, or hygienic suitability, we can advise on alternative constructions (including all stainless steel options).

Typical Applications

Glycerine filled pressure gauges are commonly used in:

  • Hydraulic systems subject to pulsation
  • Pumps and compressors
  • Pneumatic equipment and plant air systems
  • Mobile machinery and vibrating installations
  • General industrial process equipment

Selecting the Right Glycerine Filled Gauge

When choosing a gauge, consider:

  • Dial size (visibility requirements)
  • Pressure range
  • Media compatibility
  • Mounting orientation (bottom vs back entry)
  • Vibration severity (confirm filled specification is required)

If you're unsure which specification is suitable, our technical team can advise.
