Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges
Our glycerine filled pressure gauges (also known as liquid-filled pressure gauges) are designed to deliver stable, easy-to-read pressure indication in applications where vibration, pulsation or shock can cause pointer flutter on dry gauges. The glycerine fill helps dampen movement, improving readability and helping to protect the gauge mechanism in demanding service.
Choose from popular dial sizes 40 mm, 50 mm, 63 mm, 100 mm and 160 mm with bottom entry or back entry connections, covering ranges from -1 to +1000 bar (higher on request).
Need everyday dry gauges? View our General Purpose Pressure Gauges. For corrosive or hygienic environments, see All Stainless Steel Pressure Gauges.
40mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges
Compact, space-saving gauges suited to small hydraulic and pneumatic systems where installation room is limited but reliable indication is essential.
50mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges
Compact gauges offering improved readability over 40mm models, ideal for general hydraulic, pneumatic and light industrial applications.
63mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges
Industry-standard dial size providing dependable pressure indication across hydraulic, pneumatic and general industrial environments.
100mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges
Mid-range dial size balancing clear visibility with practical installation, suited to plant equipment and process panels.
160mm Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges
Enhanced visibility for industrial plant, hydraulic power units and control panels where clear, at-a-glance pressure monitoring is required.
Why Choose a Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauge?
Liquid filling helps dampen pointer vibration and reduce wear on the movement, making glycerine filled gauges ideal for equipment that experiences vibration, pulsation or frequent pressure cycling.
- More stable readings on vibrating plant and mobile equipment
- Improved readability compared with dry gauges in harsh service
- Helps protect the gauge mechanism from shock and pulsation
Sizes, Connections & Mounting
We supply glycerine filled pressure gauges in 40 mm, 50 mm, 63 mm, 100 mm and 160 mm dial sizes with:
- Bottom entry and back entry options to suit your pipework layout
- Common UK process connections (e.g. BSP) with adapters available
- Pressure ranges from -1 to +1000 bar as standard (higher on request)
Suitable Media & Conditions
These gauges are best suited to liquids or gases that are not highly viscous, not above 60 °C, and not corrosive to copper/tin alloys. If you require gauges for aggressive media, hygienic processes or chemical compatibility, we can supply alternative materials and seal assemblies.
Typical Applications
- Pumps, compressors, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Process skids and general engineering installations
- Facilities maintenance, HVAC and water treatment
