Laumas SNODOGE Load Cell Mounting Kit

The Laumas SNODOGE is an axial spherical plain bearing accessory for industrial load cell mounting. It is used to help compensate for misalignment of support plates in weighing structures, supporting more consistent load introduction into compatible load cells.

This product is relevant for engineers, OEMs, maintenance teams and weighing system integrators working with Laumas load cell installations. The SNODOGE range is listed by Laumas for selected CLS, FTK, FTKL, FTL, FTP/-P and FTZ load cells, including compression, bending beam and shear beam applications. Compatibility is model and capacity dependent, so the selected SNODOGE code should always be checked against the load cell being installed or replaced.

Available GNW Variants

• SNODOGE12AX: axial spherical plain bearing for compatible Laumas load cells, with a listed maximum static load of 2,000 kg.
• SNODOGE20AXKIT: kit version with bearing, M20 x 80 mm bolt and Ø26 x 8 mm washer, with a listed maximum static load of 5,000 kg.
• SNODOGE25AXKIT: kit version with bearing, M24 x 100 mm bolt and Ø28 x 7.2 mm washer, with a listed maximum static load of 10,000 kg.

The bearing is made from hardened 100Cr6 steel and is intended for high-load industrial weighing applications where alignment between the load-bearing structure and the load cell support point is important. By accommodating angular misalignment at the support plates, the SNODOGE helps reduce installation-related loading errors and mechanical stress that may otherwise affect weighing performance.

Typical use includes tank weighing, hopper weighing, platform weighing and machinery installations using compatible Laumas load cells. It is also a practical replacement item when refurbishing existing weighing assemblies, provided the original load cell type, capacity and mounting arrangement are verified before selection.

For new installations, allow for the complete mechanical design of the weighing structure, including restraints, anti-lift provisions and any additional mounting hardware required by the application. The SNODOGE should be specified as part of a correctly engineered load cell mounting arrangement rather than treated as a universal mounting kit.
