Laumas STR Load Cell Mounting Kit
The Laumas STR is a stainless steel, ball-mounted self-centring pluggable foot for use with compatible industrial load cells. It provides a controlled mechanical interface between the load cell and the supported structure, helping engineers achieve more reliable load introduction in tank, hopper, platform and machinery weighing applications.
Laumas specifies the STR for shear beam, bending beam and compression load cells for foot applications. Compatible Laumas load cell families listed for the STR include FCAL/X, FCOL, FTK/L, FTP/-P, FTZ and FLC. As with any load cell mounting component, selection should be confirmed against the exact load cell model, thread, capacity and installation geometry before ordering.
Model Selection
GNW supplies the STR range in several variants to match different load ratings and thread sizes. Available options include:
- PIEDINOM12EN1090: 2,000 kg maximum static load, M12 x 1.75 thread, Ø80 x H 102 mm.
- PIEDINOM20EN1090: 5,000 kg maximum static load, M20 x 2.5 thread, Ø150 x H 102 mm.
- PIEDINOM12EN109047: 2,000 kg maximum static load, M12 x 1.75 thread, Ø80 x H 89 mm.
- PIEDINOM20EN109047: 5,000 kg maximum static load, M20 x 2.5 thread, Ø150 x H 89 mm.
- PIEDINOM24EN109047: 10,000 kg maximum static load, M24 x 3 thread, Ø150 x H 89 mm.
Engineering Use
The ball-mounted, self-centring arrangement assists with alignment where the load receiving structure may not sit perfectly square to the load cell. This is valuable in process weighing systems, OEM equipment and maintenance replacements where mechanical fit and repeatable support conditions are important.
For new installations, consider the total supported load, number of support points, load distribution, thread compatibility and available installation height. For replacement work, match the original foot specification and verify that the selected STR variant is appropriate for the existing load cell and structure.
