The Sauter TN-GOLD is a specialist ultrasonic thickness gauge designed for verifying the authenticity of gold and silver coins or bars. It enables fast and accurate detection of false cores (e.g. tungsten or lead), offering a non-destructive solution for professionals in precious metal trading, numismatics, and jewellery verification.

This compact and precise instrument works by sending ultrasound waves through the object and analysing the reflected signal to determine its internal consistency. With built-in SSG software and compatibility with Windows systems, it can assess material integrity, estimate gold value, and confirm consistency with known alloys—even compensating for additions like silver or copper.
