Understanding Weighing Scale Platforms

A weighing scale platform is the load-bearing and sensing component of an industrial weighing system. It normally incorporates one or more load cells that convert the applied load into an electrical signal.

The platform does not independently display a weight value. Its signal must be connected to a compatible weighing indicator, transmitter, controller or data-acquisition system. The receiving device provides excitation to the load cells and processes the resulting signal.
