Kern DAB Moisture Analyser

Kern DAB moisture analysers are available with 110 g capacity and 0.001 g weighing readability, or 200 g capacity and 0.01 g readability. Moisture readability is 0.01% on the DAB 100-3 models and 0.05% on the DAB 200-2 models, allowing users to choose between finer measurement and higher capacity.

Standard models use halogen heating from 40 to 199 °C. Models with the IR suffix use infrared heating from 40 to 160 °C. A backlit graphic display shows drying time, temperature and moisture content, while stored drying settings help operators repeat established tests. Each model has a 92 mm sample pan and RS232 communication.

Which DAB model has the finer readability?

The DAB 100-3 and DAB 100-3IR read to 0.001 g and 0.01% moisture. The 200 g models read to 0.01 g and 0.05% moisture.

What does IR mean in the model name?

IR identifies an infrared-heated version. Standard versions use halogen heating. IR models operate up to 160 °C; standard models operate up to 199 °C.

Are the sample pans the same size?

Yes. All four DAB models listed here use a 92 mm sample pan.

Will one drying setting work for every material?

No. Temperature, sample preparation and shut-off settings should be established for the material and checked against the required reference procedure.
