Laumas PV80 - PV60Z Load Cell Mounting Kit

The Laumas PV80 - PV60Z mounting kit is used for installing compatible Laumas shear beam load cells in industrial weighing assemblies. It provides a controlled mechanical interface between the load-bearing structure and the load cell, helping the weighing system cope with practical installation issues such as lateral movement, tilt and support plate misalignment.

Official Laumas data lists the PV80 and PV60Z for FTP 3000 - 5000, FTK 3000 - 5000 and FTZ 5000 shear beam load cells, with an application range up to 5,000 kg. This makes the kit relevant for process weighing, platform weighing and machinery installations where a shear beam load cell must be mounted securely and aligned correctly.

Engineering Use

The self-centring joint foot provides restraint against lateral forces and anti-tilt support. This is particularly important where vessels, platforms or roller structures may be exposed to side loads, vibration from adjacent equipment or small variations in frame level. The adjustable height assists commissioning by allowing installers to set the working position of the structure without forcing the load cell or introducing unnecessary mechanical stress.

Two material versions are available. PV80 uses AISI 304 stainless steel, making it appropriate where corrosion resistance is required. PV60Z uses galvanised steel and is commonly selected for general industrial installations where that construction is acceptable. GNW lists net weights of 6.9 kg for PV80 and 6.7 kg for PV60Z.

Selection Guidance

• Load cell compatibility: check the exact FTP, FTK or FTZ model and capacity before ordering.
• System capacity: confirm the total number of support points and applied loads, including dead load, live load and possible off-centre loading.
• Installation environment: select the stainless steel or galvanised version according to site conditions and mechanical specification.
• Mechanical layout: verify fixing points, clearances and access for adjustment during installation and maintenance.
