Sauter JCS Colour Spectrometer

Sauter JCS Colour Spectrometer

Sauter JCS colour spectrometers provide objective numerical colour measurement for quality control, incoming inspection and comparison of samples. Their D/8 optical geometry supports measurements with specular component included or excluded, helping users evaluate colour across plastics, coatings, textiles, printed materials and other suitable surfaces.

The JCS 100 uses an 8 mm measuring aperture, while the JCS 200 provides both 8 mm and 4 mm apertures for smaller samples. Both offer selectable 2° and 10° standard observers, LED illumination including UV, USB connectivity and a typical measuring time of approximately one second.

The displayed colour values have 0.01 precision; this is display resolution rather than overall measurement accuracy. Instrument error and repeatability should be assessed using the specification for the selected model and the required colour-difference method. Choose the JCS 200 when the smaller 4 mm aperture is needed; otherwise the JCS 100 provides the standard 8 mm arrangement.
