Sauter DC-Y2 Torque Transducers

Sauter DC-Y2 Torque Transducers

Sauter DC-Y2 static torque transducers convert applied torque into an electrical measuring signal for integration with a compatible display, amplifier or data-acquisition system. The compact flange design suits test rigs, production fixtures and purpose-built torque measurement systems.

The current Y2 range covers nominal capacities from 0.2 Nm to 50 Nm. The transducers measure torque in both rotational directions and feature a steel body, IP65 protection, a 2 m connection cable and a stated combined error of 0.5% of full scale. Current manufacturer data specifies 9–12 V excitation and a nominal full-scale output of 1.5 mV/V.

Choose the capacity so that normal working torque sits comfortably within the sensor range, while allowing for expected peaks. These are measuring transducers rather than complete stand-alone gauges and require compatible signal conditioning, indication and mechanical installation.
