The Sauter HN-D is a compact pen-type Leeb hardness tester for portable measurements on suitable metal components. Its internal Type D impact device supports testing in workshops, production areas and on site where the sample meets the mass, thickness, surface and support requirements of the Leeb method.

The HN-D is available with or without an optional calibration certificate.

Who issues the certificate?	The calibration certificate is issued by KERN & Sohn for your Sauter hardness tester.
What testing is included?	Following a functional check, the tester is checked by repeated measurements on reference blocks of known Leeb hardness. The hardness levels and scope of testing are recorded on the certificate.
What does the certificate report?	The certificate identifies the instrument, impact device, reference blocks and calibration conditions. It records the individual readings, mean, minimum and maximum values, and percentage deviation from the reference hardness.
